Selangor FC didn’t get to bring home three points from Bishan Stadium, Singapore after losing to Lion City Sailors with a result of 2-4.

The match started with the opponent, Anderson Lopes, scoring goals in the 7th, 13th, 45+5 and 54th minutes. Selangor FC responded through goals from Chrigor in the 37th minute (penalty) and Faisal Halim in the 73rd minute. The team managed to control 68% of the ball possession, 89% of the passing accuracy, made 604 passes with 24 attempts, however, were punished by our own mistakes.

According to the Interim Head Coach of Selangor FC, Chirstophe Gamel, he accepted this defeat but praised the positive attitude of the players in trying to understand his way.

”I take full responsibility for the result of yesterday's match. There were several difficult situations for us to face and finishing the goal was a challenge. In terms of defense, the team was less consistent. However, I would like to praise the spirit of the players because they gave their best and fought until the final whistle. Honestly, to make a change in two days is not easy, but they are showing signs and a positive attitude, this is what I want to reward them," clear Gamel.

Next, Selangor FC will face Imigresen FC at the State Stadium, Penang on October 5th, kick off  at 5 pm.
